About
Founded in 1964, Neotroniks Pvt. Ltd. has established itself as a respected manufacturer of electronic components for industrial and OEM applications in India and international markets. The company’s corporate headquarters is located at Nariman Point, Mumbai — India’s premier commercial hub while its manufacturing facility is strategically situated in Pune, Maharashtra, spanning over 22,000 sq. ft.
Neotroniks began operations with the manufacture of epoxy moulded axial lead paper capacitors for general-purpose applications, supported by technical collaboration and machinery sourced from Germany in 1967. As the electronics industry evolved, the company expanded its technological capabilities and developed a new range of oil-impregnated aluminium can capacitors designed to meet increasingly demanding industrial requirements. The strong market acceptance of these products marked a significant milestone in the company’s growth trajectory.
In 1969, Neotroniks pioneered the development of steel can-encased automobile ignition capacitors in India, establishing a strong presence in this specialized segment. The product gained recognition for its reliability and performance, leading to sustained demand across domestic and international markets.
Further strengthening its portfolio, the company introduced wire-wound resistors in 1973,which soon earned wide acceptance across diverse industrial sectors. During the rapid expansion of India’s telecommunications infrastructure in the late 1980s, Neotroniks resistors became an integral component in C-DOT-based telecom systems.
Driven by continuous engineering and product development initiatives, Neotroniks expanded its capacitor range in 1986 to include oil-impregnated radial lead box-type capacitors and plastic-encased axial lead capacitors. These products continue to form an important part of the company’s portfolio and are widely used across multiple electronic and industrial applications.
Over the years, the company has further diversified its offerings to include RC network blocks, capacitors for microwave ovens, automobile horns, CDI systems, and other specialized applications tailored to evolving industry requirements.
Marketed under the EL-Ci-AR brand, Neotroniks products are recognized for their quality, reliability, and consistent performance. Supported by a robust nationwide distribution network and an annual production capacity exceeding 10 million units, the company remains committed to delivering dependable electronic component solutions backed by responsive technical support, competitive pricing, and long-standing customer relationships.
